When traveling in Morocco, someone will eventually ask you if you'd like some Berber Whiskey. You would think they're taking you to some dusty cellar to taste their homebrew liquor (alcohol is pretty much non-existent here), but what they actually mean is if you want mint tea, the national drink of Morocco. Irrisistably fresh and oh, so sweet (you should see the size of the sugar lumps they use to make this!), you can't help but fall in love with it... This photo of a Berber woman was made in the gorgeous Ourika Valley, about 30km from Marrakech.
When I was a child I used to walk around with my hands folded like a camera before my eyes to see what the world would look like through my own little window. Not much has changed since then. From our home in the far south of the Netherlands I tell my story to the world, all in images. I'm inspired by the beauty of nature, the magic of light, by other cultures and its people and most of all by stories and fairytales. Studio Yuki was founded in september 2011, but I've been photographing as long as I can remember. I live close to the forest with my husband, little boy and a ridiculously silly cat.

Very nice shot Denny. I too traveled through Morocco. When purchasing an item in the souk, I would have the mandatory chai. The sugar would negatively affect my small math sense - I couldn't add or negotiate. I just paid to get out of there.
